About Us

THIS YEAR IS THE 19TH ANNUAL PERFORMANCE OF AHAVAH: THE STORY OF CHRISTMAS!

Ahavah tells a story of hope in the midst of despair.  An imaginative retelling of the story of Jesus’ birth, this production has been running for 19 years, and is now becoming a local Christmas tradition. Ahavah explores the mystery of  Christmas, demonstrating how love can shine brightly even in the darkest of times.  This is a magical show for the whole family that will surely lift your spirit!

The word Ahavah means “love” in Hebrew, and this is a story of love.

History

Previously, this show had been running on the Connecticut shoreline from 2005-2019. In 2021, Ekklesia brought the Ahavah production to Middletown for the first time.  Over the past eight years, profits from the Ahavah production have allowed Ekklesia to donate over $40,000 to local soup kitchens. All of the profits from this year’s show will be donated to St. Vincent de Paul of Middletown.
